Micro-compassions

Micro-compassions.

Isn’t that a great term? Scott Shute defines micro-compassions as the powerful movement from “Me” to “We”.

Here are a few to try in your workplace today…

1- Smiling

2- Compliments: noticing something about the other person or their work that is praise-worthy.

3- Inclusion: are you making room for a diversity of perspectives, pausing in meetings to make sure all voices are heard?

4- Listening (with the intention of understanding)

5- Curiosity: ask more about the lives, ideas, and interests of those around you. “Tell me more”

What are some other micro-compassions you can practice today?
